P90X Classic Day 18 – Yoga X
Woke up early this morning, about 6:30am (argh) and jumped right into doing some Yoga X.
If you remember, last week I had to skip it because of time constraints. I did NOT make it through the entire session today but I got close. There was 20 minutes left…so that means I went through roughly 70 minutes worth and the first 45 minutes is the hardest part.
I am doing better on my stretches, but still struggle when it comes to anything forcing one leg to hang parallel to the floor. I have also been noticing my wrists get a little irritated on some of the moves..to the point where I can do it.
One move is when you are holding yourself up with 1 arm on your side. I did that for 5 seconds and had to bail.
I also have noticed my left leg seems “stronger” or has more endurance than my right on several moves, which is surprising since my right tends to be my dominant leg.
So tomorrow is Legs and Back, so I hope I have built up some strength this week to make great progress on pull-ups. We shall see.

Holding the leg parallel is the worst. I think I need to get a yoga block for some of the stretches. I used a cardboard box today and it really helped me do some of the stretches so much better. I think when they start holding one leg out for five minutes I am not going to concentrate so much on if I can do the half moon with them but if I can keep my leg extended the whole time they do and then add the half moon stretch later. Your doing awesome!
