I used my Day 35 as a rest day. Because Week 5 has been hectic as it is, I have been bad about ignoring the Yoga X day + any misc. stretching that should be taking place. Shame Shame I know.

I actually decided to skip this day. Just had a lot going on, and even though I said I no longer wanted to “skip” days, prior to this week I have missed roughly 16-20 days of working out…I do want to get moving forward.
So I skipped Yoga X. However Legs and Back are next and [...]

Wow, what a nice workout. Every time I have to do anything with my arms…I just keep realizing how weak my upper body truly is..but I do feel like I am getting stronger.
I don’t really feel, honestly, that recovery week helped me get stronger though. Maybe its not supposed to after only 3 weeks. Maybe [...]

Yesterday I was sick. Today I don’t feel 100%, but better then yesterday, so I had the energy to “BRING IT”.
I did much better in Yoga X today then the previous time. Also, Yoga X being as long as it is, has been one of the sessions I have skipped 2 times thus far, which [...]

Unfortunately, I caught a bug and instead of working out and possibly hurting my immune system any more, I have opted to skip todays workout entirely so I can recover.
I am hoping I will feel better tomorrow for Yoga X. I will take it easy tonight, take my vitamin C, Zinc, lots of water [...]

WOW is all I can say.
I am surprised how much today actually kicked my ass. I knew recovery week wasn’t going to be “easy”, but given there are multiple X Stretch days + Kenpo X, its supposed to be an easier week then most.
Enter Core Synergistics. This took me by surprise. Honestly though, I felt [...]

CMON…it was the Superbowl…and my home team the Indianapolis Colts were playing. Or…should I say showed up, but didn’t really play. Argh!
Anyways, I used it as a rest day. I didn’t pig out, but I didn’t eat overly healthy either. To many breaded items got in the way.
Week #3 though is officially over! Tomorrow starts [...]

Woke up early this morning, about 6:30am (argh) and jumped right into doing some Yoga X.
If you remember, last week I had to skip it because of time constraints. I did NOT make it through the entire session today but I got close. There was 20 minutes left…so that means I went through roughly 70 [...]

So it was merely 2 days ago I felt very disappointed with my results for Chest and Back. Today, it was arms and shoulders and I felt great with my results. I felt stronger, I felt the “pump” much more in my arms today, especially my forearms. I thought my skin was going to rip [...]

Bryan, I hope your wife feels better. You’re right, things happen and sometimes we can’t fit everything we want into the few hours we’re awake, do the things we plan. Don’t sweat the small stuff, or a missed workout. Just jump back in as soon as you can. Fitness is a lifestyle, not a one time graded event.

I was skeptical about Yoga and the benefits, but 30 days into my second round, I have to agree with Tony and Dave Ward. At the beginning I hated it, partially because of the time involved, and partially because of the difficulty. Also, I couldn’t forsee what the real benefits would be. But I figured TH and Dave knew what they were talking about. Now @ 30 days into Round 2 (P120X?) I definitely see the benefit. My flexibility has increased steadily, and all that stretching of muscle and tissue keeps things limber. In short, it helps me to bring it for every workout.
There are still parts of Yoga X I struggle with….(Warrior Three, Half Moon, Twisting Half Moon, any balancing on my left foot) but I do my best.
with all of that, don’t sweat missing a workout here and there. Life happens. Wife, kids, work, etc. can take precedence.
